When we designed ROVVER X, we thought through every feature to create the most productive crawler on the market.

CONTROL
The right joystick maneuvers the crawler; the left one adjusts camera pan, tilt and zoom. Lamp intensity, lift height, cruise control and dozens of other functions are controlled using touchscreen sliders.
OVERLAY
Annotate your inspections with static text, entered observations, and dynamic variables like crawler speed, distance and camera angle. It's easy to configure--just drag and drop fields onto the screen and save your favorite configurations for future recall. You can even add an image file for your logo.
OBSERVATIONS
Code observations right on the control interface. Type in the first few letters of a code or drill down through categories to quickly find the right one, and then enter any qualifying details needed. PACP, WRc and many other code catalogs are supported.
REPORTING
Generate PDF reports right on the interface, and then offload to your network or save them to a USB stick for client delivery. Choose from a selection of report templates to display information in a way that makes the most sense.
MEASUREMENT
A sophisticated suite of measurement tools lets you determine flow level, crack and root size, pipe grade, and the angle, diameter and clock position of incoming lines.
UPLOAD
The ROVVER X controller is Wi-Fi enabled, which means you can upload completed inspections (data, video and images) directly to WinCan Web for rapid sharing, sophisticated analysis and secure storage.
Wind Power requires regular maintenance to check for corrosion, pitting, cracks and other defects. The inside of wind turbine blades need to be visually inspected to see if these defects are in place. Other remote visual inspection method do not offer the distance or ability to inspect the large diameter and long blades.
New construction: Many power generating plant construction projects may present potential conflicts with existing underground utilities. Experience has shown that relying on information from old plans and records regarding the location of underground utilities may not be the wisest decision. Often, these subsurface facilities are not where records say they are or they are not shown on the records at all. Once construction begins, this inaccurate information can result in costly conflicts, damage, delays, service disruptions, redesigns, claims and even injuries should a backhoe hit an underground pipeline. Damage can be minimized by conducting a survey of underground piping using robotic pipe inspection cameras and mapping the location of existing pipelines and utilities with the sonde locator.
Nuclear Power Plants: Aging of underground piping and tanks has gained increased attention in the nuclear industry, particularly concerning piping systems that may contain some radioactive effluents or environmentally hazardous materials. The Nuclear Strategic Issues Advisory Committee drafted the Underground Piping and Tanks Integrity Initiative in 2010 to provide reasonable assurance of structural and leakage integrity of underground pipes. The Rovver robotic pipe inspection camera is perfect for inspections at nuclear power plants.
Process lines need to be inspected for condition. The pan and rotate push camera is perfect for navigating the complex geometry of pipes and connections to check pipe walls, welds and joints for pitting, corrosion, erosion, cracking, scaling and other problems.
Cleaning Validation can be performed at pharmaceutical and chemical plants with Rovver robotic crawler camera. Process lines at these plants need to be cleaned of previous product ingredients or the next batch may be contaminated. The pan and rotate camera can negotiate larger pipes and longer distances.
Steam feed lines need to be inspected for interior condition. The rovver robotic pipe inspection camera can use its pan and tilt camera to see scale build up, pitting, corrosion, cracking and other defects with ease.
FOSAR: Locate foreign objects, loose parts and other debris in industrial piping. The rovver robotic pipe inspection camera can use its pan and rotate pipe camera to view and locate more debris, and foreign objects than other remote visual inspection methods. Once the pan and tilt push camera locates the foreign material and attached motorized retrieval tool can then be used to remove the objects without tear down.
